Christmas Eve Service
Here's the video of them singing "Joy to World" kid style.
Here they are singing "It's About the Cross."
Here's the youth skit. Jamie is the one who drops her cookies.
And just for fun, I recorded part of the audience singing "Silent Night" by candlelight.

Project Clean Out!
This week we started a major clean out here. We emptied all 3 kids' rooms & purged toys. We had 6-7 bags of trash & 5 giant trash bags of toys to get rid of! Then we made a trip to Home Depot for paint.
Thanks to our wonderful friends, Fred & Rochelle, we got all 3 rooms patched & painted in 2 days.

The kitchen. This is all that we have cleaned so far.
The other part of the loft. We need to organize the games & craft stuff.
Our room is a mess. All of these boxes need to be cleaned out.
This is leftover bins & a few things to go through.
Tomorrow we are tackling the living room.
Not sure if I'll try to tackle Hubby's area or not. But the kids will tackle their desks.
Once we get most of the house cleaned up, then I'll start tackling Christmas decorating.

Happy 47th Anniversary!
To my parents!! Here they are at their wedding!
With the best man & maid of honor.
Their cake.
Cutting the cake with my cousin Tony at their side!
Note to self: take pictures of my parents together. Finding a recent pic of them has proven difficult because I don't have all my pics with me. Here are separate pics of them from last year when we went to Apple Works.
Thank you, Mom & Dad, for being a shining example of what marriage should be. I know it isn't always easy but you work it out, loving each other & God! Thank You!!!

Frankenmuth, MI
Today we spent the afternoon in Frankenmuth, a German/Barvarian town in Michigan. I fell in love with this town. They are proud of their German & Christian heritage. Something I can identify with.
View of some of the shops from the parking lot.
One of the many Nativity scenes throughout Frankenmuth.
Kids in front of one of the Christmas Trees.
Jessica posing for a pic.
Jessica loved this bench.
She also liked the table & chairs. She said I need these for my backyard.
Beautiful waterfall next to the river that cuts through town.
The river & one of the bridges.
Some of the many Christmas decorations.
A fountain in the middle of town.
Another fountain.
Another nativity.
Frankenmuth has a history museum. This exhibit depicted the trip from Bavaria.
The people who founded this town were strong Christians who believed
they were here to reach others for Christ.
They taught German to the natives along with sharing Christ.
Some hands on exhibits.
An early General Store.
An early school.
Exhibit talking about traditions in Frankenmuth including St. Nicholas.
Frankenmuth through the years.
Jessica got to try to design an Alpine style house.
An exhibit dedicated to Michigan & the War of 1812.
Map of Frankenmuth.
Outside the Frankenmuth Cheese Haus.
Tiffany's restaurant. Made me think of my cousin.
Inside the Brewing Museum.
A covered bridge in the middle of town.
Another view of the river & waterfall.
One of the breweries in town.
I love this town as it is all decked out for Christmas.
One of the many scenes outside Bronner's Christmas store.
I love the motto for Bronner's!
Love this!
David liked these lights.
This plaque says it all.

This Christmas store is awesome! The joy of Christ's birth is celebrated all year at Bronner's - whose motto is: "Enjoy CHRISTmas, It's HIS birthday; Enjoy Life, It's HIS way."
